Help please Sharps carbine

Picked up Sharps carbine.It has been thur 1867 conversion relined 3grove barrel in 50-70. Is there a return spring in firing pin transfer block? Did they remove barrel from receiver to bore it out? thanks mike

No firing pin spring in any original. Always put on half cock to open action. If not firing pin drags on case and could damage tip. yes barrel removed from receiver to drill and re- line.
