45580During the 1950's and 1960's Maynard Buehler had advertisements in the American Rifleman
and other gun magazines showing how strong his scope mounts were when mounted on very
heavy caliber rifles. These scope mounts would still hold their zero. On of Buehler's rifles or
I should say carbine, was a custom Enfield 1917 chambered for the 505 Gibbs which Buehler
used to test his scope mounts. Also shown is a 30-06 and 505 Gibbs cartridge45579
