Just looked @the weather temp projection for the next 30 days in my AO. Daily temps are projected to be in the "normal" historical range, which will be nice. Got much outdoor work to do including redoing my pistol range. Have about 30 metal targets to put up and a berm to redo to catch lead. Now if I can just figure a way to have TIME to do everything that needs to be done! Wish I had a job to go to so I could rest up now and then. Got several floors to paint before laying down reclaimed oak floor, wife informed me that the new bedroom furniture will be delivered next week so I have to hurry to get the floor finished.

Just the other day I thought, I could use a vacation. Then I thought, what,a vacation from retirement? I did take a vacation from retirement three yrs. after I retired. I retired from the Postal Service early. Anyway, I acted kind of French for three yrs. and then decided for my financial health and mental health I ought to go back work. It's tough to balance once you've tasted that freedom. Eight yrs later I decided it was time to embrace retirement again. Where was I going with this? Wait, no, OK, So, anyway now it seems every task I take on is huge for some reason.
You wanna know why that is? It's interesting. It's because you are way more aware of time. I have this internal mental clock. I always subconsciously know what time it is. If I wake to take a pee it's always 3 minutes after the hr. It's a curse. Well,it's a blessing. It's a blessing and a curse. Anyway, it's because we aren't young anymore. End of story.
I thought it was just me. Things I use to do routinely now are big task for me. Often I will think about things for hours or days before jumping in and doing it.
As far as weather goes we are going through a late spring time drought that occurs every year. Next will begin the 300 days of rain. Late May/early June and our temps are 95 degrees +. Farmers are rushing around planting crops in the dry hot soil hoping the seeds can germinate and not burn up before the floods come.

I should have written that. The numbers would be a little higher though.

I know how you feel. What hasn't washed away here is rotting and rusting away. We are coming out of short break (drought) and starting our 300 days of rain season for the year. Some may think this would be a good place to grow mushrooms now but they would just get washed away. I know the toadstools have a have time surviving that pop up all over the yard. Mostly the grass is hard to keep up with. It grows like crazy and is difficult to mow because it is always wet. When the grass dies from being under water too long then the toadstools try their luck.

Well I don't trust weather forecasts on the Texas Coast. So Its summer, it will be hot and humid with a chance of a tropical storm or a hurricane. My body tells me that we will see a tropical event this summer. Now I could be wrong or I could be right.
