M1903 stock marking question

Got an 03 straight stock has "J" in cutoff no grasping grooves, no other markings on outside of stock! There is an outlined "R" under butt plate! Hand guard has a "9" inside muzzle end. What manufacturer made these?46140

The stock was made by Sedgley under contract from the USMC. The handguard was made by Springfield Armory.
