This morning there was a short little blurb about gun violence in AZ. It compared opiod deaths vrs. gun deaths. To tell the truth I don't remember which one came out first. Now, I have a theory that if we could eliminate the Hispanic murders the numbers would go way down. But for some reason Hispanic numbers aren't available. Because of this the black murder numbers are over acutentuated. Hispanics are lumped in with white/caucasion. I'm doing a lousy job of spelling here.
Here is the pretty well done report I found.

https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2019/03/06/phoenix-area-homicide-data-shows-who-being-murdered-how-where-maricopa-county-mesa-glendale/2995021002/

-The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office, which rules on the cause of death, designates five race categories for deceased individuals: Asian, Black, Caucasian, Eastern Indian and Native American.

Hispanic and Latino subjects are categorized as Caucasian, making it IMPOSSIBLE to use their data to accurately understand the racial or ethnic makeup of homicide victims.

Among the races provided by the medical examiner, about 64 percent of the victims fell under the Caucasian category. U.S. Census Bureau data says Caucasians make up about 84 percent of the county's total population.

Black people were disproportionately killed. While 6 percent of Maricopa County's population is black, 21 percent of its homicide victims were black.-

If you look at the graphic map provided and pan out a little so you can get an overall view of Valley of the Sun. You can readily see that the majority of killings take place in the west valley. Mostly older 1940's and fifties neighborhoods that have been populated by lower income folks. Predominatley Hispanic. Basically anything "avenue"(west) is risky. When we bought a car in Glendale the Mexican saleman warned us that we were "the wrong color and to stay away from neighborhood X" As an aside: A lot of these old neighborhoods have swimming pools(everyone has a pool in AZ) but they aren't fenced and no one is watching the kids so the summertime drownings seem to be in the "westside". But murders are the subject here and because for some reason the numbers are disguised we don't know who is actually responsible for the majority of them here in Phx. But we can guess.

So on a scale of 1-10, of the two mass murderers I'd give the nutcase in OH a 0 but the guy in El Paso actually felt strongly about what he was doing(well, they all feel strongly about what they are doing) and although I'm sure he was a crazy loser mental case, he gets a 3. I can understand it a little.

"...the Hispanic murders..." You may want to read more about the racist nut bar who shot up the Wally World in El Paso.
"...I'm doing a lousy job of spelling..." That's why St. Bill's minions put 'Spell Check' into Word and Word Pad. Mind you, it does not fix words that are spelt correctly but used incorrectly. There, their and they're or to, too and two for example.

Stats show that when the poor are packed together, they shoot each other. In Chicago, that's the case. Less so NYC. Don't know about Phoenix area.

The Socialists want all guns removed from society. Once they get all the guns, they will wear their Communists caps proudly. At that point, their police will have all the guns they need, and we will be serfs.

pull up the FBI crime report, and you will see who is doing the murders. Not politically correct for the media to mention the report. As to the nut cases that are doing the mass killings, as tragic as they are, in a nation of over 300 million the percent is small. My solution has always been armed people to protect themselves and others.
