It's like being a politician, getting paid to do what ever you like and not work.

A lucky shot. I wonder what photographer took a shot of a rusted door panel and thought, this is so cool. I don't know how this happens.
The previous two posts were, blah, blah blah. Sunray gets one half point because he mentioned in a manner of speaking, vacations.
This picture is scary because some of us, especially me, would take the picture and then delete it. I have a fast finger to my detriment.

"...getting paid to do what ever you like and not work..." So it's the same as being retired? snicker. We've had a few politicians who thought they should be allowed to live in Public Housing while sitting on City Council. The guy eventually went federal and was the leader of our other socialist party called the NDP. The guy and his wife got elected Federally. He died and was very nearly canonized when they both should have been in prison. Criminal offence to lie on a PH application or more likely to bribe a civil servant.

Usually with more limited funds but yeah. Don't forget all the "honeydo" projects though.

Guess this is another blah, blah, blah post.

"...the "honeydo" projects..." No such thing in my house. There are a few "I need to get to doing that." though.

Sunray: You're obviously talking about Jack Layton, otherwise known (sarcastically) as Saint Jack. If this were not a polite forum (sometimes) I would use other terms to describe him. On the good news side, it's likely that his party is going to get creamed in the upcoming October election. In my Ottawa electoral district, I don't even know who the NDP candidate is and I'm pretty active politically with the Conservative Party

Due to the luck of the draw I have been on vacation since November of 1991, when I retired. It still looked like a beach scene to me though.

"...obviously talking about Jack Layton..." The late Taliban Jack, you mean? Nobody anywhere but here has ever heard of him or Olivia.
Jagmeet always reminds me of a worm in one of the Sci-Fi cartoons.

I agree with you.

When I retired in '16, we had to remove vacation from our vocabulary. We don't have to get approval or schedule, just decide to go. Only concern is the 3 dogs
