I have been looking for one of these for a long time having missed one before. Not on the list of 60 that went through Red Star, but definitely spent time in England and appears to be absolutely original !466004660146602

I've never seen Brit markings on a Springfield 1903 or any other rifle, other than Garands. We sure were nice to the Brits. Too bad we didn't have early warning radar to send to them.

Too bad we didn't have early warning radar to send to them.They had the first operational early warning system (Chain Home).

The early radar system they employed allowed them to concentrate their relatively small Air Force to intercept the Nazis. Goering never knew what hit him (thankfully)!
