This has to be my favorite time of the year. Just enjoy the precision bolt action.
One of my favorites is the FN SPR in .308. Heavy fluted 20" chrome lined barrel with a Leupold MK4 8.5-25 sitting on her. Mac stock , Harris bipod, 10 rnd factory box mag. Nothing finer than getting down on the prone mat and placing each rnd where it is supposed to go. If you like a pre 64 Winchester action you would absolutely love this critter.

This target is a couple years old, but she can still take care of HR. I like these 500yd scaled for 100. I only had to put one rnd in each bad guy, but got carried away and wanted to make sure they were finished. 5 rnds is better practice than one. I did mess the hostage girls hair, but at least she survived.

Excellent rifle. FN could not do better than to copy the Win. M-70 pre-64 action with a proper barrel, etc. Just about idea for field use. How does it do with your chosen loads when you get out beyond midrange distances? Sincerely. bruce.

My shooting is generally under 300 and most often 100-150 where it is shooting .25 moa with M118Lr and about the same with my 135 customs. I am quite sure it would maintain that accuracy beyond short range if need be.

I like to think so.
When I left the Marine Corps I had a requirement that a range needed to be on my property. Took a few years to find it, but it's home and we've been here for over 40 years.

Have a SC made M70 HB in .308. Only thing I don't like is the 'new improved' MOA trigger. Found a Masterclass stock on fleabay mucho cheap and look forward introducing the two.
