Apparently some stores are running out of yeast because people are locked in and baking more
This is how to grow your own yeast:
Biologist reveals you can create raising agent with dried fruit, beer or water from boiled potatoes as supermarkets sell out
Scientist Sudeep Agarwala, from Boston, shared the easy-to-follow recipe on Twitter after reading reports that frustrated bakers couldn't find yeast anywhere
He shared a thread detailing how to make your own yeast safely at home
Revealed that dried fruits such as apricots or raisins mixed with water and flour make the raising agent that helps bakers make bread
Supermarkets have been selling out of yeast as people turn to home-baking during lock-down - with Amazon also out of stock

There's always sourdough. You need a little yeast and some sour milk to protect the culture from invading bacteria & fungi. If you have a yeast cake in your fridge, that's good. Otherwise find yeast in the wild. for instance as RayG suggests.

Once your sourdough gets started your yeast worries are over.

Good luck!

I've got home made beer that is "bottle conditioned" so it has live yeast in it.
If you live in the Phoenix metro I'll give you a bottle or two
