Personally I don't believe the person who constantly utters such nonsense. This is a self centered egotistical person who is just looking for a response, any response to "feel" important. He also gave most of the credit to his wife, Umi, who immigrated from South Korea and brokered the shipment of kits. Hogan was effusive in praising the diplomatic skills of his wife. If the ROK continues to successfully ride Covid-19 out while most of the rest of the world fumbles about, it will give their national pride a shot in the arm.

Yes, but look at the return on our investment--one of the most advanced & prosperous democracies in the world--as this test-kit deal demonstrates. Compare that with our investment in the "Great Society," the War Against Poverty, & similar programs.

If McArthur had been allowed to neutralize the threat from China & NK, the cost of SK's security would have been greatly reduced, there'd be no man-made military bases in the S. China Sea, probably no Chink Flu to destroy our economy.

Carter proposed bringing US troops out of South Korea after his election in 1976 but that action never went anywhere (thanks to the Deep State). Try the present as Trump proposed the same and recently cancelled war games with South Korea. The proposal is more recent than your example.
