My Uncle bought this Stevens M87 in 1959 for $10, it was well used and the broken
stock had a brass pin (good repair - it is still there). Besides 22 LR and short, he also
fired alot of the fine birdshot loads too. When he died in the mid 1970's I got this
rifle. I shot it some but it became the "loaner" rifle to friends who also shot it.

Recently I decided to shot it and noticed that the fired long rifle cases are really swollen
quite a bit at the case mouth yet the rifles works really well without any problems in feeding
or extraction.

I decided to place a target card at around 18 or 20 feet and make a test target. I fired
five rounds of CCI standard velocity semi auto from a rest. I was impressed at the group
that this old rifle fired !47902
