Here is a guy with gonads the size of beach balls... August 16, 1960.

Kittinger was part of the staff for Baumgartner's jump.
I have to ask the odd questions. What happened to the gondola he jumped from? It was remotely(I guess) detached and it parachuted to earth and landed fifty miles away from where it was launched. It's in NASA's museum in Houston, TX. The balloon material was about the thickness of a dry cleaning bag. .0008"-
The balloon was about 55 stories tall.
Oh and Baumgartners twitter account was deleted due to his political views. He was fined 1,500 L for slapping a guy who pissed him off. He doesn't suffer fools.

IIRC, a military high altitude jumper had bad leak in arm of suit-jumped anyway. Arm da.. near froze on way down. Tissue damage, massive swelling. I think he recovered after a few months.
Thank you for posting some very good reading i enjoyed them.

That was Kittinger. He didn't say anything about and kept ascending. He didn't want to abort the flight.
