At one time, and maybe you still can, you could buy repro Keystone springs, but never saw a set.

A saw an ad for a comp spring priced at $3500, which was the first one I had seen in years. Just wondered where they were.

Yes, there were two springs in the Gas Trap as well as the early gas port rifles.

Original follower rods run between $1000 and $1200 now, fakes are around, easy to spot and they
don't work well.

Winchester follower rod is different with serrations and very rare to locate

There was someone in Utah quite a few years ago who was making a set, but they didn't work right. Too stiff and would not collapse to a short enough length to allow proper function. Real springs have a notable "floppiness" to them while the fakes are fairly stiff like the later round-wire springs.

It was Joe Sturdy in Utah who made the first repro Keystone spring, never worked, guys tried to anneal them or cut coils
off but never worked. Long time ago
