I am in need of the extractor spring plunger for the M1 carbine bolt. I dropped it on my rug and can't find it. Anyone have one I can purchase from you?

Try dragging a magnet

I did try that several times. I vacuumed the area with a shark vac to see if I could suck it up into the plastic canister with no luck.

Hi, Mark, I think you need a bolt tool, Mike

Tmark, Which one do you need? They made three different ones. One and two would be more for collectors. I would recommend a type three the last one made. And as Mike said....Get a bolt tool. You will be glad you did.

According to Canfield's book, I need the New Manufacture plunger.

What extractor do you have in the bolt? As to who made it doesn't matter as the type 3 are all the same and unmarked.

All IBM bolts have type 3 manufacture extractors. My extractor is marked W-B.

The plungers are all the same not the extractors.

If I had an original IBM carbine with all original parts and had to use a replacement plunger, does that mean I no longer can say my carbine is "original" as came from the factor??????

IBM only used the type 3 plunger during all of its production. Your all set to go.
