Setting up an M14 rifle for Kilo range service rifle on M14BR.

Bula made JRA receiver, lapped and installed an old Bula Forge bolt , finished reamed an M118 chamber to 1.633 in a pull off Chinese chrome lined barrel, gas system is Bula, op rod and trigger group are H&R. Scope is an old Redfield 4x set on a Bassett low mount in a USGI birch stock. This morning I broke out some 8 year old across the course 168 gr SMK over 41.5 4895 with 210M primers in RA 68 brass for function firing an getting her to settle down into the stock. Shot 4 targets on this cloudy morning. Rifle and ammo work great together. It's the shooter's not being able to see the target well with the 4x scope. You can see from target 1 thru 4 how the rifle itself is settling back into the birch USGI stock after being out for chamber work. Whatta Hobby!

At the suggestion of other that I should use a scope with exterior turets, I set another rifle up this morning.

TRW heeled Bula Defense Systems receiver with Bula standard 22" barrel in a nice USGI walnut stock with great draw pressure. Scope is a Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25 - 4 held on a Basset rail mount with ARMs #22 quick detach rings.
