Sometimes it's about being at the right place at the right time.

Four U.S. Soldiers and one flight surgeon aboard a CH-47F Chinook helicopter provided aid to a local German citizen in a car accident, Dec. 15.

Ya know.... that's a nice story... however

If we didn't spend all that money on our troops being overseas ...... the government could afford to give us all an extra five grand this stimulus ..... Americans need the help

that's what I'm hearing from numerous conservative minded anti socialists .... I mean... they saved the life of a foreigner, but how much did it cost us ?

'bout five dollars.- It might have cost ten grand. "Defense" is expensive. Flying any plane is expensive. Air ambulances cost thousands an hour. How much Good Will was generated? Thankfully they didn't crash land on the guy. Happily, it seems he lived. Maybe the army guys helped a little. But it's very out of the ordinary and I can see some trouble could come from this. There might be some new rules instituted. You can't shoot at the guy leading the police on a high speed chase. I think it's a good idea but I doubt the army will OK that.
