View Full Version : What is so special about this 1903A4 that it sold for so much on auction?
It sold for $7,165.56 on the auction? Was it just a bidding war between two guys
or am I missing something about it??

I have seen them sell for more, but not a rebuild.
The slings wrong for it also!

The rifle was listed on the auction as an original A4. All of the parts I can see are parkerized. The cartouches on the left wrist are really faint. Possibly honest battlefield wear? Inspection marks forward of the floor plate look ok.

The only parts that would have originally been Parkerized would have been the receiver, barrel, and safety lever. Everything else blued.

Yep, don’t suppose the bidders were aware of that. Nice example.
