While trying to find some ammo for my Dad I came across this. Midway USA on top, Sportsman Guide on bottom. Never seen this before. In reaction to what, exactly? And just who gets to decide when I am allowed/permitted/granted the freedom to purchase ammo once again?

our son gets on the list for any ammo he needs that shows "backorder ok" or "notify me" and then buys immediately when it becomes available because it can become unavailable in minutes. He recently got me 80 rounds of 8mm Mauser (only moderately overpriced) that way. You're right, it's tough

Unfortunately this appears to be the new "normal" for the shooting industry. I have been trying to find a Lee 9mm 6 gang and I refuse to pay the scalpers price for one on the various auction places.
I took a look at what I have and if I sold it off at today's prices I would have a good down payment on a new Jeep! A local dealer asked If I would be interested in selling my 5.56 fmj reloads. I would never have thought that 5.56 ball would be a $1.00 rd or more. Wonder how much it will be worth by summer?

be careful selling your reloads,

IIRC you need a license (ATF) to do so, and you would want some serious insurance,

Wonder if the G is placing orders to buy up all the production in advance, just to keep the shortage going. Didn't Obama do that?
