A nice new gas cylinder is beautiful. What they did to it I don't know. There are outfits that do that kind of thing. Duracoat. I don't know how close that is to original.

Duracoat now comes in many colors so it's not difficult to come very close to a match on most firearms.

Caswell's is one brand or Stainless blackener,

Brownell's also had a product at one time, not sure if they still do
