Anyone have one or used one? Looking for recommendations.
I bought a cheap one off of Amazon a few years ago,
basically a long flexible cable with a light and camera,
works off my cell phone, and works pretty well,
I tossed the box, but the App on my phone that runs it is MScopes
I bought the smaillest they had (diameter) to get it down most 22 cal bores,
I say most cause some that were a bit crusty will not let it pass,
resolution is good enough to see what I need to

no,
mine just plugs in my cell phone, and came with adapters for the various charging ports ,
I did not get those 3 reflectors either,
mine will allow me to dim the light if needed,
found it, I got it thru amazon in 2017

Anyone used a scope to look inside an incipient separation case?

Thanks, that's given me some ideas.
On an episode of Pawn Show the guy they call on to check firearms
they're thinking of buying dropped a small object down the rifle barrel
which lit up when it contacted bolt face. Was that something he constructed
for himself or is it commercially available ?
In the fishing section of Sportsmans Warehouse they sell little chem lights to put inside clear plastic floats for nite fishing. I have used them down bore of my muzzle loader.

they are available,
we had a couple we picked up from a vendor at a gunshow, that you basically just dropped down the bore,
too easy to just pull the bolt and look thru the barrel, or shine a weaponslight (like you mount on a pistol) on the open boltface,

The little objects with a light that is dropped down the bore is an item used by bow hunters
to find arrows. Inquire at an archery supply store.

In the past I have used those little keychain flashlights dropped down the barrel of muzzleloaders. Some translucent 'scotch tape' on the lens served as a diffuser so I wasn't starring into the sun.
Primitive but it was handy and cheap.
Others have told of using their borescopes to inspect cases. If you have one then why not?
Personally, while borescopes are extremely useful in my opinion, they have condemned more barrels with long useable life ahead of them than anything else. Especially when the "craze cracking" thing was discovered by those with only a little knowledge on the subject.
