better question is, How did she shoot? Around here Brit rifles pop up seldomly, what did that cost, if I might ask?

Nope,that's it. there was a lot going on and I was just lucky to have these and be able to shoot. I saw way to much stuff in a short time to get eveything on film. People offered me a lot of neat stuff to shoot or as they would say,"Have a go." At the Trafagar match your required to shoot rifles older then 1946. Plus the bar opens at 8AM.

And the scope was mounted that way because some IDIOT in the War Office decided that snipers need to load the rifle with chargers

Probably the same Idiot who decided not to issue British pilots with the then available "Guardian Angel" parachute because "they might not tend to fight their aircraft"

That sure is neat! What ammo did you use, any vintage rounds? What distance were targets? How did it group? How clear were the optics after all these years?
What other arms were you able to observe and/or fire?

Sooter5 I don't remeber any of the details, he did score about third place in the McQueens course with it. I had my hands full with my own scores.

Had the good fortune to shoot with the London Practical Shooting Club at Bisley in 1988. A very companionable bunch of gentlemen shooters, the Brits are. My friend Maurice Kanereck, who I still exchange letters with (refuses to do e-mail) shoots in many of the vintage matches.

Good old Maurice, he let me shoot his #5T .308 and some police special .223 bolt gun. Nice man.
