The size of the farms has shrunk, the cold weather killed what little I had. I had one very large pepper bush, the peppers were about the size of BBs and considered wild, the bush is dead. My wife saved seeds from year to year in case of an emergency. the big bush worked very hard every year but only managed a quart a year.

My wife ordered 25 pounds of Georgia Peaches, that was as close to North Carolina as she could get. 2 Pies down and I do not know how many 'to go'. She said the peach truck will be back through on the 20 of July.

Peach pie can be a winner too. But for me, hard to beat strawberry.

Angel food cake, whip cream and strawberries, I get that on our anniversary, when she makes it just for me, I get apricot pie, the nice thing about apricot pies, around here I am the only one that likes them. If the pie is a really good one, I can still taste it four hours later.

My great aunt made them all from scratch. I loved her strawberry rheubarb. She made one called "mince meat" that was delicious.
Man, I'm getting fat just thinking about this..
