She was diagnosed with breast cancer 30 years ago and the disease finally got her. I liked her music and a friend who met her professionally said she seemed a genuinely nice lady.

Very much regret to read of her death. Very sad. Yesterday Judith Durham of The Seekers died. Both were very excellent vocalists. Sincerely. bruce.

I kept up with both of them.

Olivia had a beautiful, soft, feminine voice.

Judith as well. Dusty Springfield's brother wrote this song and others for the Seekers. It was done in 1964, hit #1 in the UK so they did a TV special of it in 1968 at Abbey Road Studios. See if this don't make you feel old. This little girl has grown up and died @ 79.

Remember it was hard to get on the charts back then with the Beatles and the British invasion.
