A friend who is not a rifle shooter bought a new Ruger MPR rifle, this is without
sights but iron can be bought.
He took it apart to check everything and the put it back together and went to a
local range. He fired the cartridge but it did not eject from his rifle but caught
the bolt and held it back. He called the Range Officer who told him to fire it again,
the same thing happened.
The Range Officer took it apart and noticed the bolt extractor was on the left side.
The bolt cam pin will fit the bolt either with the extractor on the left or right.
I checked a Colt AR15 and the Colt bolt has a taper to the cam pin hole so that
you can not put the cam pin in the wrong way.
Then I thought maybe Ruger has a left handed model of this rifle and the cam pin hole
was made this way.
