Just finished watching You Only Live Twice...what a great movie. I like any of the old ones with Sean or Roger.
Thunderball is one of my favorites...
I love the girls and guns. Does anyone enjoy these movies anymore??
I hated Roger Moore in westerns. I didn't like him as James Bond either, but who could fill those shoes?
I like the girls of the Bond movies.
The movie scripts/plots no. Too hokey for me.
The 007 agents? They had good parts/scripts with the characters having built in appeal/attention before the movies were released. Could numerous other actors and non-actors have done the parts as well? Probably so.
The cars? Go carts.
So no. I'm not a fan but many/most are so just my 2 cents worth.
The Spy Who Shagged Me, was (to me) a pretty good parody. I like making fun of stuff. One Million Dollars. And now it's One Billion Dollars (no politics, it's just the economy).
Look at the old time movies where they meet up with the guy with the briefcase full of money. Seriously? A pile of 100 $ bills. Who does paper money anymore. How much money it that? Even as a kid I knew a briefcase full of 100's wasn't going to keep you happy forever. You still have to pay the minions.
as far as Bond's go,
Connery, will always be Bond, my favorite is Goldfinger
Moore, did good in the first 2 he did,, then between the 70's,,, funky scripts, too much stupid humor and oddball stuff, his work suffered,
Lazenby, he did a good job as well, and while folks poo poo the movie, it is actually pretty good,
Brosnan and Dalton did ok, Brosnan being a bit better, but more like Moore, of the 2,
Craig was Bond redone, and redone in a good way, much more like it should be,
and my 2nd favorite,
as for the women, they all look damn good,
and the guns, I imagine Walther made a fortune ,,,

Connery, Lazenby & Craig, are my bond to follow.
"No Time to Die" was fitting end for Craig.

Roger Moore in Westerns ???
Glen Ford could draw and fire in 1/5th of a second.
Probably faster than most if not all of those famous gunfighters.

That Gene Wilder on Blazing Saddles could sure draw fast.
Taliban joe as agent 007.
