ARs out of the dark.

Working on an older AR upper that I just added an Aero lower to. Never thought I would mess with these critters again. This one is a RR upper 18" bull stainless in 1/8. Put one of my VXR-Patrol scopes 1.25 - 4. Harris bipod and Magpul adjustable buttstock. This configuration used to work pretty good for me. Located 20K of 5.56 ammo in the stash so I figured it was about time to burn some of it up on the range. Still have an AR Five Seven upper that will be getting one of these Aero lowers next week. Whatta Hobby!

Just mounted my NF BEAST on this AR so when I shoot tomorrow hopefully the poa won't be obliterated by the 4x crosshairs like today. Whatta Hobby!

Coming back to me slowly. I remembered why I had a ton of pipe cleaners in the shop. Then started remembering how dirty these things get in a hurry. Firing pins were pretty sticky from old lube. All are bright and shiny now. The 24" barreled RR has a Timney drop in competition trigger. Looking forward to getting out an burning some powder later this morning. Whatta Hobby!

Got out an ran a few 10 rnd groups at 100 yds. Lots better with a scope that the cross hairs don't obsure the POA. One high shot was a double, oops. Need to remember the follow through to reset with the light Timney trigger or I get into trouble. Whatta Hobby!

All Aero (I am an Aero dealer) ,
M4E1 lower, standard collapsible stock, and a M4 16 inch mid upper, 223 wylde, , with Atlas S one or something hand guard, (free float)

likely toss an old Aimpoint dot on it once I find the riser I stuck somewhere,

Just ordered a couple of charging handle extensions. Knuckles take a beating with Night Force scopes on these things.

Got out and shot 50 rnds of the 40gn V-max over 26 gn of Varget at 100 yards. Best 10 rnd group was .70 max with an average of under .4. The Night Force BEAST looks a little strange without it's sunshield which is sittting in the safe with the rest of the NF shields so the scopes will fit on the shelf and still be able to close the door. Whatta Hobby!

This AR project has gone so well I have an AR 10 type in the works. Picked up an Aero M5 complete lower today, have an Aero upper with 1/10 20" barrel on order along with 10 M3 .308 10 rnd Promags. The rabbit hole is becoming one of those sink holes we read about. Whatta Hobby!
