Came across some old Garand clips filled with FMJ and brass simply marked "30-06 WRA".
No dates, nothing else. Wondering if these could be surviving WWII ammo?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
The FMJ loaded cartridges with the 30-06 WRA headstamp could be the early 30-06 cartridges which compare to the 30 M2 ball
1929 was the end of Winchester, Olin and Western used the Winchester Repeating Arms head stamp, for me, not a problem because I sort cases by head stamps, if the case head had a year date, good, that gave me another year for sorting. Back then reloaders were conditions to say military cases were heavier because etc., they were thicker. I found an exception, I found Winchester cases to be lighter, and no one measured the case head thickness.
