I am trying to list my guns and give my heirs a reasonable of values of the thirty +- guns in the safe.

I have a document that says my Dad bought a pistol back to the States from battles in the Pacific.

The gun is not for sale but I have seen them on sale for $400-$2,400.

Any info is appreciated

Serial number is 274516

Want more pics, PM me.

"I have a document that says my Dad bought a pistol back to the States from battles in the Pacific."

This made it legal for a soldier to bring a captured enemy rifle or pistol back into the U.S. Otherwise it is illegal to import a firearm into the U.S. without the proper licenses. The cameras and binoculars did not require the papers, but not unusual to see them listed.

They were commonly called "Bring Back" papers, but would not have covered a U.S. weapon.

I have seen a few variations of that paperwork,

some had the make model and serial number, others did not
