Now there are two super Navy fighter jets in museums and bearing the paint schemes of the best Navy fighter squadrons of the 1960-1990 era. That was VF-31 on the Carrier USS Saratoga. The F-4 J is in the Washington Air Museum being repainted in VF-31 colors.

Both planes flew with various squadrons but VF-31 was acknowledged as being their most important uses.

Good news & a good resting place. I used to live in Hempstead & go there all the time, even the old one in the hangars before the rebuild!
