Back in a previous war between Israel & Palestine,
the Palestinians were offered temporary refuge in Jordan,
but they liked it there and decided to stay. It took the
Jordanian Army quite a while before they managed
kick them out.
Now I hear calls for countries to take in the refugees,
including Jordan where I think it will fall on deaf ears.
Can't recall when Hamas took over control of Palestine.

You've "lived" there longer than I have.

This wasn't hard to see coming.

My recollection is that as a way of thanking the Jordanians for letting them in, the Palestinians attempted to assassinate King Hussein and take over the government. Hussein reacted strongly and his army expelled most of them. Without a strong army to stop them, they ended up in Lebanon and are still there.
