Here's a sweet Springfield 1922 M1 I posted photos of here quite a few years back; figured I'd share it with all of you once more. Picked it up at the Chantilly Gun Show probably 10-12 years ago now in this condition. It appears to have its original M1 bolt and hardware. Welcome all comments on it, of course.

Best Regards from Northern Virginia,

Chris

Lookin? great, Wolf . . . .

I have the same rifle, albeit a few years older.

Looks like someone changed out the butt plate and installed a globe front sight . . .otherwise just like mine.

This version was called the ?sales? rifle.

?Service? versions were not normally D&T?d for scopes and had ?grasping groove? stocks with an ?03-type butt plate (without trapdoor)

Also, much more drop at comb and heel.

Enjoy that beauty!

Thanks, Jim! I've had it in my collection for some time now. Sooner or later I'll decide to downsize and part with it.

Best Regards from Virginia,
