T/C Contender repair for 2nd variation grip failure?

In the associated photos, can the crack be repaired to use?

Any idea as to what cause the failure?

I would think my first step would be to contact T.C. and don't forget to include photos.

was it loose on the pistol when shot?

looks like a classic stock crack from contact with part of the firearm,

and if you do any wood wook, it would be an easy repair
