Something we've all thought of. Now it looks like the beginning of a new era. From here on there will be improvements made making the lasers stronger, lighter and more efficient. Ultimately to be shot from satellites?
The lasers mentioned are for human personnel, personnel carriers, drones, radar installations and maybe incoming missiles. Taking out tanks, engine blocks and other heavy objects would require longer burst of laser rays which may not be doable.
My main concern ALWAYS is this technology falling into the wrong hands. Seems like the military would have a means to self destroy any and all hi-tech weapons.
