Been driving my Jeep Compass, "a little" as my daughter does most of the driving back and forth conveying her and Mom to work. I am not pleased with the vehicle as frankly the cockpit is toooooooooooooooooooooooooooo dang small to suit me.
When we get our income tax back, my daughter and I will be trading vehicles. She will be using the Compass and I will use Her's as a trade in on a mid-size truck for the K9's and I. I am thinking of getting a Jeep Gladiator with a topper for the children to ride in as I am tired of Heidi's fur going everywhere.

Good luck.
Outside of the cost, the haggling, arrogant sales people, and the risk of buying something used (if you go that route), it can be somewhat fun shopping around. I think car sales are down right now---money is not as plentiful, so you may be in a better position this time.
If your choice is only for the Gladiator I'm afraid your selections and options are going to be very limited (if buying used). I can't remember the last time I saw one.

Plan your work and work your plan. My K9's have to go everywhere with me as they are Service Dogs and as I said before I am tired of Heidi's loose hair in a confined space such as a cockpit. I do plan on having a bed liner and a sliding glass rear window so I can fit a fan there to push cool air into their area. Already have two large dog beds to go there and a way for them to always have water. 55150 Wolf is the smallest at 60lbs and Heidi is still growing. They are waiting for me on the first landing of the ramp to our cabin.
