Nice condition, probably not even dropped once, eh?
Very nice collection MJ.Interesting weaponry that I never got into because of the lack of ammunition supply and what there was wasn't very good quality wise.Wish I had picked up one of the top rifle though.Getting harder to find and more expensive all the time.
7.5 dies and brass are easyI even have brass and dies for the pistol.

The 49/56 came with a ton of extra stuff.
I thought is was kind of humerous, are you French? Sorry to offend, but similar 'jokes' have been on here in the past! Actually the French military have some very brave and effective history. Ask the Brits who were at Dunkirk (that is NOT a joke).
Not French but in 1967 I was on Hwy 19 in the An Khe pass and saw the head stones and monument to GM100. We lost three trucks that day in almost that very spot. It's a respect thing so please show some. Because someone else does something doesn't make it right.

Interesting article on "The French M1" in the recent Garand Collectors Association (GCA) magazine. Article details the development of the MAS rifle, focusing on the similarity of production of the Mas vs. the M1 Garand. The similarities cease when the French production lines are halted by Germany's invasion, just as US production was starting in earnest. Neat little brush gun in 7.5.

One of my buddies in the Army was with the Foreign Legion at Dien Bien Phu. He said as soon as they hit the ground they knew they were in deep doo doo. They were down in a valley surrounded by mountains and the Viet Minh had artillery on the mountains.
I was always amazed we would move into a valley only take the floor where the roads were. Not till mid '68 did we take the hill tops first. The Marines had that from the get go. A good friend wrote to me from I corps that he spent most of hie time on the hill tops in '67. I was in Dak To in 10/11 '67 and it was the same thing with them on top and us in the valley. #10
