I can’t badmouth Jimmy now. I didn’t vote for him either time, but I respect the man. Therefore I can’t bring myself to mention his name in the same sentence with…let’s go Brandon
He had some good humanitarian ways. Perhaps he did some good, just not as a president. I've read where the people of Plains GA where he had been mayor tried to warn everyone about him before the election but the media was left wing even back then so no voice against him was heard. His main fault was he was involved with that corrupt political party that still continues.
If I had to say something good about him it would be that at least he didn't deliberately try to destroy America.
Carter did great humanitarian work after he left the presidency, but he was a dismal failure in his years as President of the United States.
Bidens' problems were compounded by his keepers continually portraying him as a dawn to dusk whirlwind around the office and staff, but getting off a stage confounded him.
Carter managed to get the Camp David Accords done. Got Sadat killed though.
Continued Nixons dialogue with Red China. Didn’t help Taiwan though.
Double digit inflation. High mortgage rates and outrageous rate fluctuations on the prime.
Then there was 444 days…..and Billy.
At least there was no sex scandal involving old dirty clothes and cigars.
Lousy President because deep down he was too honest.
I remember the 17% mortgage rates.
CD rates were sky high also.
With inflation so high who could afford savings or CD's though? What good is saving a penny when you're having to spend a dollar?
CNN doesn't like facts at all.

gas, when i started driving to work, was $1.48 a gal, (this was in 1980, before the election)
cheap 30 wt oil was 99cents a quart
I was making $3.10 hr, part time
Hum. 1980. Gas in New Orleans was around $1.00 a gallon. Rent was $210/mo. Quaker State/30 oil could be bought for $.50/qt./case. Food was not expensive unless you were going to one of the high-end restaurants. I made $5.00 hr. and she made $6.15 hr. Paid my way through seminary. Graduated debt free with a Masters Degree. Nowadays, have no idea how one could live so good in such a city. COL would have to many many times higher. Sincerely. bruce.
1977 I filled up in Houston @ $0.39.9. Got into Chicago the next day and filled up @ $0.75.9.
Made me think I had been in the Twilight Zone for a while.
Carter did a lot of destruction to America but he finally did something people approve of.

Carter's post Presidency was marred by too much personal meddling into foreign affairs. The Carter Center unwittingly or otherwise, helped prop up several authoritarian socialist regimes under the guise of non-partisan election monitoring. History will remember Carter as a very unpopular, weak and failed President. Weak on economics, weak on foreign policy. His Presidency, Post Presidency, and his anti-Semitic leanings are being ignored and/or massaged by those who are currently trying to rehabilitate his image. His only accomplishment worth remembering was to support and secure the building of the Alaskan Pipeline. The biggest lie ever perpetrated about Carter before he was elected was that he was a folksy, good natured outsider, when in fact he was a big democrat powerbroker.
The Carter 17% mortgage rate was something I?ll always remember. The interest rate on my house at the time was 4.5%. My S&L, that carried my mortgage, wanted to get out from under their low interest loans. They said that if I doubled my monthly payment, I could pay off the remaining 20 year loan in 5 years INTEREST FREE. We jumped at the chance and I always sorta thanked Jimmy for his ineptitude that saved us money when we were struggling along with the rest of the country. Reagan came in and got things under control. Biden?s ineptitude damaged our country in more ways that can be imagined.
