Good point. These guys seemed to speculate that the originals were issued by the bushel. If so, where did all the scopes and especially all the adapters all go? At the very least, there should be a ga-zillion rifles with the adapters still in place, you'd think. Anyway, there's an embedded link to the Sarco page that offers all of this stuff, including both mounts, as reproductions, and evidently in stock.
