Bought my first handgun in what appeared to be a grocery store in Midland/Odessa area back in 1985. Guns were between the bread section and the meat section! Great state for shooting, too. Welcome, participate and share your knowledge.

glad to be here. I have a few questions, one of my 1903a3 rifles is chambered in .308 norma magnum, I took it in a trade. I was told that it has been "worked" on to smooth out the original two stage trigger. I noticed that when the safety is on and the bolt is lifted the safety goes to the off position. to me that is unsafe. what can be done to correct the problem with the safety. if a new bolt is in order then I am ok with that as I can then rebarrel it to a more usable caliber. if that is done would I be better off putting an after market trigger on the rifle. thanks for any help that can be provided.
welcome and enjoy
