I'm glad to have found this forum. I have noticed lots of threads that interest me.

I've been a hunter and shooter for 60 years, though I have never been one to chase the newest, biggest, fastest or currently coolest guns or gear. I have only bolt guns, break-actions and falling blocks. I've long been of the camp that TRIES to make every shot count.

I like blued steel and walnut. I've rebarreled several guns and built two rifles from scratch (only bought barrel blanks and used a few wood screws to mount butt plates).

I like historic long guns and simple revolvers.

For all that, some of you have probably spent as much gun time in a year as I have in those 60 years. ;-)

I look forward to a lot of good reading here.
