Not to hijack the thread, but 4895 is a pretty decent modern powder for that round.

That was my go-to when I was loading 220 gr. RNs for elk hunting. The new barrel on my "carfle" wasn't stabilizing them as well as I would like, plus the 220s are herd to find any more. One reason I went to 4895 and 180 gr. bullets.Originally Posted by Ned Butts
