Default Initial case prep on new Starline .223 brass.

Opened a new bag of 1K .223 Starline brass. Starting prep includes first de-burr and unitize flash holes, run a tapered carbide expander mandrel for a .003 neck tension, run through the Giraud trimmer and mouth prep, weight sorting and bagging in 1 gn or better segregation. Whatta Hobby!

Finished up a few minutes ago and weight sorted to 1 gn for now. Starline is between 93 and 95 out of the box. Whatta Hobby!

learn't a lesson I had forgot last month,

picked up some NOS prepped brass from and estate,
new PMC , virgin brass ,

so checked one or 5 in the case guage, all good,

primed about 150 and thru the powder, and when I went to seat the bullet, it just fell right down in the case,

been so long since I had used any new brass, I did not think to test bullet tension

so, dumped powder back in the hopper,

pulled the decap pin, and resized all of them

    then checked bullet,, worked perfectly,

re loaded the powder, and seated bullets, and all good
