Thread: A.G.P No9w folding sight!

  1. Default A.G.P No9w folding sight!

This thing is just so splendidly "Steampunk" I love it!
On a more practical note you can strip the bolt for cleaning without removing it too.

How did you ever find this? I have not seen anything like this.

    I found it on e-Pay.
try a search for any one of these 3:

    "SMLE target sight"
    "A.G. Parker target sight"
    "BSA No9W sight".

They are all basically the same.
    They pop up occasionally.
There are several version of the No9, you ideally want the No9W specifically because it has a longer windage arm, which works better with the (comparatively) fatter action of the SMLE over the Martini long lees.
Make sure you get the S.M.L.E. mount bracket. the older ones for the various Martini actions or Long Lees won't fit.

If I were to purchase the sight, I would then have to look out for a rifle to purchase. Thanks for the added info. I was curious as to how you came across the sight since it is so unusual. As I mentioned, never saw anything like it before. Thought that you might have stumbled onto one at a gun show.

Nope it was a long & intentional search.
I like the SMLE,but its sights are *meh*

I wouldn't give up hope but I wouldn't lose any sleep over searching for one either. Think of how few exist and out of that few how many people don't have a clue as to what it is or what it fits. I would have to think if you ever found one it would still be on the site.

No worries, I'd buy it with the sight & mount plate.
Then I'd put the cover on mine (which is zeroed) & sell the sight & mount!
(probably in 5 years as I'm a packrat)

    No offense !!!!!

You found a great "find". It is no doubt an excellent sight and has added value and accuracy to your rifle.

That being said, for an old fart like me it would be a little more complex than I would prefer.

For some reason it reminds me of this old exert from "Naked Gun 2 1/2".

    None taken.
Its on a .22 sleeved rifle so it kinda sorta fits the target rifle image anyway.
