Not just here but in gun mags as well. Been there, done that, got the long underwear. B.S.ing here is fun and at times informative.

I've learned a few things too here. Not only on guns but news I hadn't heard yet.

That's where the 2A/Political forum comes in handy. Seems like EVERYTHING these days relate to politics in some way. Unlike before, if you don't want to read about such you don't.

One of the problems is that a lot of the very interesting and interested members have died and new people are not joining. I do remember that some of them were very interesting in their own right apart from their interest in firearms (For examples, does anybody remember Goo? As I recall, he was the non-pilot in Phantoms and was an ex-marine).

Yes. I believe he flew or flew in F-4's and F-14's, died at age 70. My memory may not be 100% though. BTW in a tribute to Goo "obama sucks" !!!!!

He was a true war hero, shot down twice, lost at least 1 pilot due to combat. Goo had a large "bucket" and was working it down at every opportunity. When the bucket was empty, he was empty too and left this world and forum!

Not my thinking. I came within .005 seconds.of dying in a F4-B. The ejection seat was returned to Martin Baker in GB and after hundreds of tries they could not recreate the mishap. Thank God! Had the seat fired, both me and my pilot would have died.

This "group" is shrinking. It is like all of the "old cars" guys (the cars, not the guys were old) are fading away. Just saw A Buick GS on hemmings for sale for only 22 grand. about 10 years ago, they were 70 grand. I have a 71 Skylark (350-4v, factory air, auto) and I'm selling it as I NEED the space in the garage and I am TOO OLD and tired to get up at 5 AM to do the threes "S's" in the morning to get to the auto show from 8 to 10. (that's all they do here...8 to 10).
anyone interested in the skylark, give me an email at cava3r4 AT gmail.kom (spelled that way for robots and A I bs)

Don't forget the slash & burn mass culling over at GunBoards after Vertical Scope acquired it.

I was just over to milsurps.com; it appears they have the same stagnation problem.

When CSP had a major problem years ago, they helped by letting the Maj., Swede, and Pat "share" into their platform. After CSP was ready to stand alone, there were some problems getting the divorce, but CSP did survive as Jouster 1, now Jouster 2.

If you check, both sites are set up simamarly, with it appears the same "table of contents". Don't know how to attract a younger crowd.

I'm still sitting in a corner booth, drinking coffee and people watching...
