Still azalea's but a different shade and one of my mentioned palm trees that may or may not be alive from the past freeze.
Azalea's are about 10-12' high and about 100 years old. Palm is about 40. Other trees are pecan, also near 100.

Great looking yard, do u cut it or hire it done?
Sam
Thanks Sam. I cut it and herbicide it. Most people who cut grass for a fee don't know their arse from a hole in the ground--they don't know the difference between a redwood tree and crabgrass so they often mow stuff you want to save.
@ 71 I am still able. It's only a 2 acre yard but I maintain my daughter's 2 acre yard and partially maintain my Mother's 2 acre yard so I am aging quickly. Luckily I have a couple of good mowers, a small tractor and numerous yard tools.
Had to give up on gas powered hand tools like weed eaters, trimmers and even chainsaws. Even makes like Stihl become hard to start and by the time you get one running you're too worn out to use it especially in the heat of the summer so battery powered stuff has become my life line to being able to continue.
I am a little bit older and I work hard at not working. When the foliage is grown, one cannot see my cabin from the road. My driveway looks like it belongs to my neighbor 2A.jpg. From the air all is green including my roof and we like our privacy, especially now. My project this year is to enclose the deck for year round use as my 2nd kitchen. Large windows will go in front and mom is making curtains for this project.

If I had your surroundings I would have a few chickens. They keep the grass down and eat bugs to boot. Regardless of how much property (if any) is fenced in chickens will still come home to roost before dark. So if they wonder off they will come back. They call a good coop/shed home.
How are your solexx panels holding up?
Starting to crack with age and sun's rays. Mom and I are thinking of something else for the room [I get 1st dibs]. Funny about the chickens, we have outside cats so that is out. I am going to have delivered in June a custom hen house for our lower yard with an enclosed and roofed run[bio-security] for 12 hens.
Sam
Cats and chickens can get along just fine. Most were always present on farms w/o any problems.
Perhaps raising chicks in the hen house will get the cats use to being around them and won't bother them if/when you let them roam beyond their coup.
Sorry to hear about the solexx.
