Forum Rules and Tips

What CSP is all about- Imagine a pub next to a gun range, next to a military base, populated with folks who are passionate about their military firearms. You'll find retired and active duty military, law enforcement (who also may have served in the military), hunters, competition shooters and a wide variety of gun enthusiasts. That pretty much sums up up CSP. We recommend you lurk on our different forums here for a spell to see how things run. Feel free to to become a member which will allow you to ask questions, see pics or tell us about yourself or you collection large or small. We encourage your to share your knowledge about military weapons, firearms and anything that may be of interest to CSP members.

To help us understand more about you please fill out some of the info in your profile. This helps us identify friends and foes (the 2nd Amendment has many foes these days) as well as spammers. All firearms enthusiasts are welcome. "Sporterizers" are just as welcome as "Purists".

Forum Rules
1-No posting of copyrighted materials. Please link to a story, Do Not Copy and Past It Here!

2- This is a family friendly site and material posted must remain appropriate. Spamming, trolling, flaming or other personal attacks will not be tolerated. Pissing contests are not welcome. Things you post here are not private, and can be viewed by anyone with internet access, including kids. Please keep it rated at worst PG-13. Civil discourse only!

3- Language that would be inappropriate in the polite company of strangers is unwelcome here. Posts which are indecipherable due to the inability to translate thoughts into coherent written statements can be deleted without explanation.

4- Avatars and Signatures are allowed but must be family-friendly. Signature size must be appropriate and not distract from the flow of threads. Signatures with hot links to non gun related web sites may be removed at the administrators discretion.

5- Keep your discussion legal. Things you post here are not private, and can be viewed by anyone, including law enforcement, people and groups who are not gun friendly. CSP posts are public and can appear on search engines such as Google. Keep this in mind when you post. Think twice, post once.

6- Discussions concerning disapproval of or disagreements with another individual or forum is not allowed.

7- As we can never convey a philosophy through a few rules, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to edit or delete posts and/or to revoke CSP Membership. You may or may not receive a warning or a second chance. Violations of the rules will be grounds for moving, editing, or deleting posts without notice. Repeated violations by a member can result in temporary or permanent banning.

• For sale, wanted and trade items must be posted on the For Sale/Wanted board, not on the other boards.
• The ad must include: price, condition, approx. shipping cost and terms.
• Pics are strongly recommended. All transactions must be legal follow all BATF rules and regulations.
• No links to outside websites (except CSP Sponsors) or auctions.
• No class 3 items, weapons or parts.
• No live military ordnance (mines, mortars, rockets, grenades etc).
• No links to auctions.

Forum tips

• Try to post items related to that particular forum, we have quite a variety. Gun Talk is a catch all for misc items or topics of the day. Posts may be moved to the appropriate forum for improved discussion.

• Newbies- Don't piss off the old timers. Old timers are expected to be ambassadors of the forum and should act as such.

• If you have nothing nice to say, post nothing.

• Don't use your real name or you email address as you user name, you will get spam email from spam bots which scan web sites looking for email address and your name will come up in web searches (Google).

• Please report suspected spam, posts or PM or emails from CSP- there should not be posts selling cheap handbags, fake watches, Viagra, golf clubs, weight loss schemes, etc. Also please report spam email or PMs coming from a CSP member. This happens from time to time, but we try to shut it down ASAP.

• Not everything you read on the internet or receive via email is true, some of it is "Bravo Sierra". Please check your facts in several places before posting.

• What you post here is public and can be found on Google searches, please keep that in mind. For security purposes- Do Not Post your address or phone number, they are trackable via the internet. Please use PM or email for that.

• If your politics are left of center, you may my yourself being the odd man out.
