Back in 2002 we all had a great time trying to locate what was the last H+R to have a backwards 3 between the H and R before changing to &.
A guy who posted under the user Erik A. was probably the first to ever notice the difference. We all posted our serial # for months and finally gave up when we got it down to the change occuring between
4674226 { & } and
4667925 { B3 }
Thats pretty close with a break point of only 6300 serial number difference
I used to own H+R 4660062 . 2nd earliest H+R to show up yet I believe. Bought it from the CMP and it was one of the first Select Grades they offered . Came with original 3/53 barrel and bolt.
