I see where Bergdahl is going to plead guilty to charges that could get him a life sentence. It made me wonder about whatever happened to the five Taliban leaders that were traded to get him back. No joy there, there is nothing I can find that isn't 2 1/2 years old and apparently then they were still in Qatar.
In my search I did however happen upon a report by the House Armed Service Committee wherein they determined the release was an unlawful act by the Obama administration. The actual transfer was made before Congress was informed of the action. Reading the "Findings," is a look into the actual mire and shenanigans of the U.S. Congress and the Obama Administration in general.

On May 31, 2014, as part of an exchange which allowed the recovery of U.S. Army Sergeant Robert Bowdrie “Bowe” Bergdahl, the United States sent the Taliban Five from GTMO to Qatar. But, Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon, then the chairman of the Committee on Armed Services in the U.S. House of Representatives, learned of the Taliban Five transfer only about two and one half hours, rather than 30 days, before it occurred.32 Furthermore, the Committee did not receive the required written classified notification and assessments until two days after the transfer.
