    No more Trumps

Was watching the Sunday morning analysis. Now they want to get serious about fixing elections. They never want us to ever pull a stunt like this last one.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

That would be the electoral college and all that. Seems there is disparity about how some states work it.

Their idea of "fixing" is to ensure the results they want. Their idea of democracy is what they had in Poland and East Germany, with eyewash parties that "
      loyally supported" the ruling party.
What next-deciding that whichever party wins the popular vote for the presidency also gets a majority in Congress ?

You might have seen the same segment I did. I used to wonder about the electoral vote. But it serves a purpose. So CA and NY can't rule the world. So, in the last election the popular vote didn't carry the day and they want to make sure that never happens again. Well, I guess it would have been OK if it had gone their way.
Trump is painful. Listening to him is a white knuckle experience. We didn't really want the Pet Semetary version of Reagan, but it's what we got(actually, not even close). The point was, we didn't want another Clinton, Bush I or II or some Kennedy resurrected(and I believed when I was a kid). What's important about the next presidential election is, not who gets elected but how. If the country turned totally left after Trump I won't be surprised(but I'm hopefull), but I don't want to see it set up by people who "know what's good for us".

Unclear to me why smaller states would sign onto such a scheme. Now the one where to get on our ballot you gotta let us see what kind of financial skin you have in the game (release tax returns), I'm okay with that one.

The problem is that while smaller states would normally NOT sign onto such a scheme, there are politicians in some of those states that don't give a rodent's rectum about their states or their people. They're Democrats.

Here in Ohio we just had a RINO leave and Ohio is feeling much better now. The Electoral College is law and will be followed otherwise the election is a fraud.

But what do the Democrats care about fraud, so long as they win?

Don't let them off the hook, keep asking for proof and redirect when not forthcoming. Their lie is like frost, it can't stand the light of the morning sun for long and just melts away. "Trust but Verify!"

Then there's this "National Popular Vote" Compact. States can only enter into compacts with each other with Congressional approval.

But no one is going to keep the pressure on them -- they'll walk.
