This M70 Target in 30-06 was purchased from a gunshop in Waukegan, Il in 1967, the price on the bill of sale was $135.00. This gunshop had won a bid on 12 Winchester M70 rifles being auction by the Navy at Great Lakes, most of these rifles were target model while some were standard weight barrels, a few stocks were damaged. All the rifles were in nice condition with exc bores. These could have been been used on rifle teams
