In the last year or so I have developed an interest in the history of scope rings manufactured for the M1D Garand rifle. To that end, I request that anyone with information anyone might have about their manufacturers, numbers produced, or other data (including pictures) pertaining to their production. I am especially interested in original packaging so I have an idea which companies manufactured these (preliminary research indicates there were multiple manufacturers).
Once I have amassed a decent amount of info, I plan on sharing this with the Garand collecting community. Hopefully, this information can be a good tool in determining the genuine issue in a field increasingly filled with fakes as well as filling a niche of Garand history that has seen little attention. Thanks!
